Marlee Kaiser is a Tri-State Native and Huntington-based artist who is currently pursuing her master's at Marshall University. A proud Appalachian creative, Marlee brings her passion for visual storytelling to life through prints, stained glass and paintings. Starting to draw and create when she was in grade school, Marlee enjoys experimenting and creating with all mediums, but primarily enjoys relief printing especially using linoleum and woodblock. She enjoys creating pieces that reflect her experiences growing up in rural Appalachia, from themes like the importance of consent, the concepts of religion, nature and the unknown creatures and cryptids that roam Appalachia. Marlee’s creations often include bright and bold colors to attraction the viewers' attention, she almost always includes a bright red in her pieces! Outside of creating, Marlee is the cymbal tech with Marshall Universities Marching Band teaching “Herd Beats.” She loves listening to the bands “Ghost” and “Here Comes the Mummies”, collecting vintage gothic clothing, eating hotdogs, taking road trips with her Fiancé Caleb. Marlee also loves bugs and all insects.
